The Freedom Circle Fund · Pre-launch
Sometimes all that stands between a woman and her freedom is $800 for a deposit, a lawyer, or a ticket home. That is a lot to find alone. Split across thousands of women giving $10 a month, it is nothing.
We're gathering 10,000 founding women first. Then we register the fund and publish everything. Nothing is charged before that.
The model
$10 a month into one shared fund.
Members decide together where it goes.
Anyone can ask. It's an open door, not a promise.
What we fund
One test for every grant: does this money materially increase her freedom or her safety?
Deposits, rent, emergency stay
Divorce, custody, protection
Licences, courses, childcare
Urgent care, mental health
Travel, documents, a new start
Where it's safer, funds go straight to the landlord, the lawyer or the clinic rather than being handed over as cash.
How it works
Any member, or any woman referred by a partner organisation.
An accredited local NGO confirms the situation. No decision is made from a distance.
Software sorts by urgency and flags fraud. It never says no to anyone. That is always a person's decision.
Through the local partner, and where possible straight to the landlord, lawyer or clinic.
Monthly: what came in, what went out, where, and what it cost to run.
Questions
No. Nothing. We're not asking for a card or a payment of any kind. Joining costs nothing and commits you to nothing. If the fund is registered, you'll get an email explaining exactly what was set up, and you decide then.
No, and we'd rather be blunt about it. A guaranteed payout would make this insurance, which is a regulated product with entirely different obligations. It cuts the other way too: you never have to give in order to ask. Every application is judged on its own facts, against criteria published in advance.
A grants committee inside the registered nonprofit, working from verifications by accredited local partners. Members shape priorities by category. Any decision that goes against an applicant is made by a person, never by software.
Some has to: payments, verification, audit, partners, technology, support. Any fund claiming otherwise isn't telling you the whole story. We'll publish the real percentage every month. Our planning target is 15% or under.
A fund with a hundred members is a good intention. One with ten thousand can afford proper governance, legal structure and audit from day one. Those are the things that actually make a fund trustworthy.
Please don't wait for us. We aren't operating yet and can't help anyone today. If you're in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services. National helplines and local women's organisations can act now, which we cannot.
The Freedom Circle is the wider community: Talks, knowledge, connections. The Fund is its financial-help arm, run separately and transparently. Membership is free and never requires giving to the Fund, and supporting the Fund never buys anything inside the community.
